Outstanding students Congratulated

Two students of the General Knowledge studies of the High School of St. Francois among the 12 Grade students received commendation certificates and consolation prizes for being outstanding students in Takeo province. They did their examinations along with other outstanding students
across Takeo province and were ranked 7th. The Department of Education, Youth and Sports announced the results on March 7th 2019.
The awards presenting ceremony was held on 22 March 2019. Teacher and vice principal of the High School of St. Francois, Lay Makara, said that this was the third time the students of the high school had passed the nationwide examinations in order to enter the national exams. This year saw student Sem Sina passing the examination as an outstanding student in Literature and Pheaktra Chanchivy in Physics. The teacher continued by saying that the national examinations were held from 22-24 March 2019 in Siem Reap province. To encourage the two students, the school congratulated them by organizing “best wishes” ceremony before setting off
to enter the examinations.
The General Knowledge of the High School of St. Francois is a diploma educational establishment set up by the Catholic diocese of Phnom Penh in 2003 with Bishop Olivier Schmittaeusler as being the initiator and the founder. It is a high school in a remote area located in Kous commune’s Chamkatieng village in Takeo province’s Tramkak district.
The school has provided poor students nearby the opportunity to study.
The school has a clear curriculum, a library, a standard experimentation room, including capable teachers with a clear understanding of pedagogy. The school provided added training for weak students and preparatory classes.
